I am searching for any information concerning Chester Albert Reed, ornithologist, of Worcester, MA. He was born in ca. 1876 and he died on Dec. 16, 1912, it is said in Worcester, MA. I am searching for any information about him and his life, his wife, his children, his parents, and family origins. All help will be very much appreciated.

In the 1910 census in Worchester,Mass Chester Reed's wife was listed as Eva M.
It said he was an artist for Book and Magazine illustratior.

I am not related to him but someone is building a web site about him and asked me for my help in researching him. Chester Albert Reed was I gather a famous ornithologist who produced many books about birds. His father was a taxidermist. I've gotten his family origins figured out. The information I am specifically searching for now is more of a personal nature about his life in general, his wife, his children, his parents, and his siblings, his achievements, etc., to sort of bring him to life for the web site that this person who asked me for help is putting together.

I guess what would really help are things like census records; birth, marriage, and death record information; draft card information if any; personal information about him possibly from someone's family tree on ancestry.com...that sort of thing. Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

In the 1900 census Chester ws listed as a taxidermist and married 3 days to Eva M.

In the 1910 census they had a daughter Mertice E. ( Hard to read)

In the 1920 census in Worchester,Mass
Eva M. Reed 39 yrs old
Mertise E. 17 yrs old.

So the daughter's name I cannot read.

Chester A. Reed, 24, m. Eva M Himes, 20, 6 June 1900 in Worcester, MA. Her parents were Edwin L Himes and Mary J. Leonard. Marriage was performed by Roland A Nichols, Minister of the Gospel.

There is an April 1880 birth of an Eva M Hines to Edwin and Mary Hines listed. He was b. Petersham and she was b. Hubbardston. I suspect that should have been Himes.

Edwin L Himes, 23, m. Mary J. Leonard, 22, 18 Nov 1856 in Rutland. He was the son of Stephen W. and Sabrina Hines. She was the daughter of Linus and Martha Leonard.
