Many, many thanks for the research you did on the Purdy family. The dead infant is probably the grandson of the Charles & Isabella I inquired about. It's all helpful in my attempt to trace my Purdy relatives, and in a longer-term attempt to determine the parentage of my great-great-grandfather, Robert C. Purdy, a scout/spy for the Union army during the Civil War. He was the grandfather of the Charles S. Purdy mentioned in the baby's obit.
