Hi Tom;
I read your post on the Ferguson, possibly Fauberg/Faubert name. I'm curious to know where you found out that it was possible that Antoine Planty was married to Lydia Ferguson's sister. I'm doing some work on Antoine, but can't find him before 1850 when he shows up in Oswego, Oswego county. I know that when Christopher Rose junior died in Ontario, his mother was given as Ferguson. I'm also curious as to where you got Lydia's parents' names - perhaps a bible record?
I have a lot of data on French Canadian families in Oswego, and am trying to complete what I have.
In passing, I might mention that I'm considered by some to be quite good at finding or overcoming those famous "brick walls" but am stumped on Antoine Planty's first wife. He married three times. Since I'm also working on the German soldiers who came over to Quebec during the American revolution (my grgrgrandfather was one of them) I saw that old Antoine married two sisters descendants of one of those Germans who settled in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
Would be pleased to hear from you. I might have something that you could be interested in.
