I'm looking for information on Silas (b. abt 1829) and Samuel ALLEN (b 1834), who I believe were born in Washington County and relocated to Kenosha County, Wisconsin, along with many other Washington County residents. This was probably in the 1840s or early 1850s, as many of the families are living in Wisconsin by 1860.
Silas was single and living as a boarder in Kenosha County in 1860. He fought in the Civil War and was mustered out in 1865.
Samuel married Emily REYNOLDS, daughter of Danis and Catherine Reynolds, also of Washington County. Their oldest daughter was born in Wisconsin in 1852, so they left New York before then. They had 5 children together before Samuel died in Tennessee while fighting in the Civil War. During 1860, the family also has a Peter HOAG, born in New York in 1847, living with them.
If anyone has any information on the above mentioned ALLEN family, I would really appreciate you sharing your information with me!
