My Great Grandfather Thaddeus Shear was a school teacher in Wolcott (Wayne County) in a country school. He & his wife Ella are buried in a wolcott (Wayne county) cemetery also. My Aunt's tell me it's the one up by the gas station, but they can not remember the name of it. I am searching for any records on my Grandparents. He was also honored in the local newspaper for being a retired military vet. He fought in either the Spanish American war or Mexican war, my Aunts can not remember which one, but they said there was a big write up in the paper about it. I'd appreciate any help, I live out of state and cannot come to search the local records myself.
