I am looking for information on Charles Havelock Hodgson who was born in England. His parents were Vincent Hodgson and Amelia Havelock. According to the LDS website, Charles married Elizabeth McLaighry June 13, 1880 in Manhattan, New York. I have an ancestor, Havelock Hodgson, with parents of the same names. I have been unable to find the birth or baptism records for Havelock so I do not know if he had Charles as a first name. Havelock was born in South Hylton, Durham, England about 1836 before civil registration began. I am wondering if Charles Havelock Hodgson and Havelock Hodgson are one and the same person. Havelock Hodgson married Agnes Stewart in Gateshead, England in 1860 so the marriage in ew York could have been a second marriage. If anyone has any information on this family I would be grateful to hear from them.
