My grandfather, Edmond Brinson, told me a story about "old man Bradham" (story circa 1975) as Bradham was killed by his son Stephen. His story matched the newspaper article.

This discussion was in question to Bradham's marriage to Edmond's g-grandmother.

Edmond Brinson's mother was Rosa Linda Hunter. Her mother was Adeline Cottle. And Adeline's mother married old man Bradham. (Note: Daniel Bradham had a daughter Rosa Linda Bradham!)

Edmond told me Bradham was related to the man that first made Pepsi in New Bern.

He also told me that Adeline (or her mother) was illegitimate.

Would like to find more information on Adeline's mother.
