My great-aunt passed away with many of us thinking she was an unmarried, childless woman. Was delighted to discover in fact she had 3 children that she allowed to be adopted with possible connections to Hood River. Am just taking a shot in the dark to see if some Hood River locals could help in the search for father(s). She left adoption records for each of the children.
Child one:
Born in late 1940s and before birth, mother was living in Hood River as a power machine operator. I am assuming this was in the cannery there. The biological father had been in the Armed Services and worked at a service station. His father was a Mormon, sister worked in a cannery, one brother as salesman and the other in the Navy. Age was given so estimated birth year for him is 1925.
Child two:
Born in early 1950s. Seems to have been centered around Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, but could have been someone she knew in Hood River as well. Biological father was in the Navy then worked in a factory and Navy again. His mother died when he was young and was raised by his sister who was a waitress. An estimated birth year of about 1921.
Third child:
Born early 1950s in Hood River while living with family there. The biological father worked for his father at a filling station and was a Marine in WWII. An estimated birth year of about 1925.
Any tips in the right direction would help!
