Is anyone researching the surname DIKES or DYKES in Lake Co. say 1910-1920 and perhaps later? David Rusow married Maude Dikes or Dykes; they had 5 children. They lived in Lake Co., before 1900, moved to Idaho, then moved back in 1913 to live near Adel. Maude (Dykes) Rusow died in 1916 after giving birth to her last child (Earl Willard Rusow born 30 Sept 1916). Earl Rusow was raised in Lakeview by his aunt Rachel (Rusow) Stanley until he was 16 years old.I don't know who raised the other young Rusow children. DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR TO YOU?
