I looked for the parents of
Johnson Coovert, however, I didn't find anything definitive in the Census records. The 1840 Censuses only name the head of household and a tally count of the members of the household.
Probably to find the parents, you'll need to find a book (or books) on
Preble Co., OH which list births, marriage and deaths. Google
Books is generally a good source or do a web search for
Preble County Ohio Births, Marriages and Deaths. You can also contact their local genealogy society.
I did find a family tree on Ancestry for
Johnson Ernest
Coovert 1830-1878 with father Reuben and mother Besheba. Reuben had a second wife Mary. You can view this family tree by going to
