Murder in Polk County 1852

Surnames: Hooker
I am researching the Hooker family of Polk County. I have a notation that says one Cyrenus Clark (12-1-1818 to 2-12-1852) was murdered. His place of death is Polk County Oregon. I am wondering if anyone has any information on this event.
