There are a good number of persons having family trees including this man. He was born October 21, 1811 in
Maine, died 4 June 1884 in
Polk County, OR. He was married on 14 Jan 1833 in
Meigs,
Ohio to Rebecca
Wells. His parents were Samuel
Sloper 1785 to 1849, mother Hulda (Huldah)
Cooper, 1790 to 1846. They had 10 Children. But, of these, none (openly) identified where he was BURIED, although many indicate buried in
Polk County.
BUT, first, of family tree's posted online, some to all have WRONG information, so ANY information you receive from a person MUST be verified through the actual documents where the information was found.

There is also no indication he was actually buried in the county of death. Many farmers in that period of time had their own family cemetery on their property.
Cemetery listings will NOT find him. Obituaries in that period were not as popular as today, if any mention was made, it was an obit written by a newspaper reporter about a famous/infamous or victim of accident/fire, etc; or act of violence. The
Oregon Death certificates were not required by the State at that time; but there "might" be one in the local county records (contact the county auditor).
I would first try contact with others posting on this person, they "may" or may not have ANY information as to his burial place. If you do have an Ancestry.com membership, just enter his name and check Family Tree's. If you don't, you can "pay" for a membership. OR, check your local library. Many local libraries have this as a database available via your library card AT the library's computer system.
