Jacobina came to the U.S. in about 1908, and immediately married Albert Reich. They lived over in Mercer and Oliver County, ND. But in 1918, Jacobina went to Pollock, SD, to visit her sister. While she was there, she succumbed to the flu and died 23 Nov 1918, according to records at Golgotha Lutheran Church. But for some reason, she is reported to have been buried in Emmons County, ND. So far, no one has been able to find her grave in either place. Maybe a funeral home in the area has some old records???
Anyway, her sister is an enigma, but mainly because we can't be sure about her married name. It starts with a "W". Could be Weisenbach, Weissenburger, Weisgerber, or any variation thereof.
We are wanting to find her family of origin, her arrival record (or, departure), her grave for sure, and any information related to her time in Pollock.
