In 1939, Enid Justin (President of Nocona Boot Company) sponsored a Pony Express ride from Nocona, Texas to the World's Fair in California. I am researching the riders of the race. One of the riders was Slim Mathis, born approx 1898 from Dalhart. Any information on Mathis or the race itself would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
