I've found a biography of Capt Thomas Simons, b County Durham, England, 1794, in the S.R.T. book on Google Books. He was a well-travelled man, having married in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia before arriving in Jackson Municipality, Texas in 1835. Clearly the contributors know a good deal about his descendants which I would dearly love to know. He was my 3-g-grandfather's younger brother. I have some info on his ancestry in England to share - I can trace his paternal line back two more generations for certain, likewise his maternal line (Vazie), and have plenty more material. The contibutors were John Gordon Laughter JR and Don B Frels.

Many thanks
