Wow! Thanks for the info on the census.

I've scoured most of the records you've sent. I guess the only thing I can conclude is that Rickerson's dad might've been another Rickerson (the one in the 1840 census). It actually makes a lot of sense, since Rickerson and his brother William were born after 1940, and it shows them with the 2 girls who were born before. I've never put that together!

However, one odd thing, on that one census report that lists the kids as "Night"... It looks like you listed them as s/son and s/daughter. However, I don't have the record that that's on. I only have the transcription and it doesn't mention them being step kids. Plus, Rickerson and Frances were married in 1867 the year the rest of the kids started appearing. Her previous husband was Thomas Knight, from England. They had one child (Victorie Knight) before she remarried Rickerson.

It'd be interesting if I really should be Gregory Knight, haha. But I don't THINK that's the case.
