Thank you for the good information. I have checked the newspapers for Elma and Everett, where she was from, and didn't find anything. It's just one of those mysteries, that's got me curious! I will check the 1930 census again, I don't remember where she was then. I am not totally sure she was in the Sanitarium, as the address on her death record is not specific, and it doesn't say she was living with anyone like a relative or friend. I am wondering if she was separated from her husband at the end, but they are buried together in Oakwood Hill cemetery in Tacoma.
