William Gardner/Gardiner/Gardener was convicted at the Wiltshire Assizes on the 1st March 1841 and was given 15 years as shown on the Australian Transportation Register.
Please would somebody check in which ship he was transported and when. I will be grateful, if it is possible, for any information about what happened to him.
My William Gardner/Gardiner/Gardener was born in Draycot Cerne, Wiltshire, England in 1821 and was christend on the 10th June 1821. His parents were Charles and Mary (Nee Beavington) Gardner/Gardiner/Gardener. Charles was born in Biddestone, Wiltshire about 1777 and Mary in Draycot Cerne about 1781.
I have no idea what William did to be convicted of transportation to Australia, but I will be very grateful to anybody who can help me.
