I also have many CD databases for Britain and the entire list of the convicts sent out to Tasmania and I am willing to do searches for other people (I've kind of gotten to a dead end in my own research! :-)
Just send me an email and I'll see what I can do!

Thank you for your king offer to have a look at other convicts

Could you be kind enough to have a look at Catherine (Cath)
McGeary, who arrived on the Australasia in 1849 from Co tyrone. I'm not sure if this is her birth name or not as she was 26 when this happened.

Thank you very much
Vicki

What a generous offer. Could you look up a James John Ware who, I think, arrived in Tasmania on the Gilmore 3 in 1843? Thanks in advance, Sue.

Hi! I've found some information for you!

James Ware
Ship: Gilmore (3)
Dep. Date: 16th April 1843
Dep. Port: London
Arrival Date: 20th August 1843

His records are available from the Archives Office of Tasmania. I can give you his convict number and their contact details if you would like - just email me and let me know.

I also went on the Archives website and looked up his information and found the following:

James John Ware
b. 1826 - England
d. 1893 - Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

If you need anything else or would like me to look up anything else, please just email me on emou@optusnet.com.au
Enjoy! Thanks Sue.

Hi,
I'm sorry, but the only convict CD's I have are the Tasmanian ones. I have looked up your James DAINES, but he is not listed. Thank you for getting into contact with me however, and I wish you all the best with your future research.
Regards, Emma

Hi Emma,
Would you take a look at Samuel Daniel/Daniels/Daniells for me?
Also Hessy Lawlor/Lawler, arrived September 1849.
I have some information on Samuel but not much on Hessy.
I know they married in Tasmania, 1852.
Samuel may have came from another penal colony. Bermuda??
Thanks a lot
Fran Myles
