I found it interesting that your post My grandfather (Nowland) was married to a Bull. They lived in Michigan. I wonder if there is a connection with your Ellen Nowland and John bull?

Hi,

For Samuel Freeman, I've been conducting some research, being a direct decendant as well. There is some information located at this website -

http://users.tpg.com.au/butlerj/freeman_01.htm

Some information is missing, but several of the links are quite good. Several recent family members are missing on the tree I know but it is still quite good.

Searching there also appears to be a link to a burial at Round Tree Swamp, near Capertree, around 9km from Lithgow (NSW) on the Mudgee road. The dates I have found on the web though indicate it may be his son, not Samuel himself. he was pardoned in June 1815, so served a 14 year sentence on arrival.

My searches have found he is from Kimpton, north of London England, sone of a John Freeman (TBC on parent).

I sure you might have a lot of this already, but I hope it helps.

JF.

Sarah,

James Griffith Perram b 19/08/1804 is my Great Great Grandfather on my mothers side. You may already know this but he was married to Ellen McCarthy b Circa 1819. Daniel McCarthy c1792 is Ellen's father. james Griffith Perram's parents were John Griffith c 9/1776 and Sarah Perram c 5/1788. His transportation papers showed that he was convicted of stealing a roll of carpet. When he was transported he took his mother's maiden name, Perram as his surname and used his real surname, Griffith, as his middle name. We have quite a few pictures of his son (my Great Grandfather) Llewellyn Perram b 5/8/1857.
Please let me know if you need any more info on that side of your family

Hi Neil,

I didn't find out about your message until tonight. I am related to Alfred Harold Perram, brother to Llewellyn and I would be thankful for any information whatsoever.

Regards,

Sarah
