I have another cat amongst the pidgeons to add. Yesterday I was informed that on James' death certificate his mother is recorded as Nancy Fitzgerald!! The informant was a reliable source too, so I tend to believe this is true.

The Gorman/Jarmy and Germaine names don't have any relationship to Fitzgerald as far as I know. My research tells me that neither of these women married a person named Fitzgerald.

During the last couple of days I have learned that Ann Gorman and Ann Germaine/Jarmy are indeed two different people. Ann Gorman arrived per Marquis Cornwallis and Ann Germaine/Jarmy arrived per Mary Ann. I am back at square one again with this line now searching for a Nancy or Nina Fitzgerald.

The variant of Ann being Nancy may be of some help when searching for the missing Fitzgerald though - thanks for that. Wish me luck.
