Thank you for replying again to the last message. I will keep this posting in mind and filed in my Ancestry Message folder in case somewhere I do find a connection. Our original Dunn family seemed to come from Hackney London, but since your Joseph was born in the mid 1850's then it would always be possible that there could be a connection down a generation or so through cousins. Devon is not that far from London really and children of our two Dunn family members left in england certainly did move away from the Hackney area. I guess it is a long shot, but it is possible that Joseph could have been named after a cousin? Who knows, but maybe down the track somewhere, we will find a connection.
