Hi! I thought this would be a good place to post since you are pretty much a different group than those who are researching the Mead/Meade Family.

My 6th Great Grandmother was MARY ABRELL (b. c1706), daughter of RICHARD ABRELL or ABRAHALL of Chester County, PA. She married JOHN MEAD (1700-1754) of Cecil County, MD in 1726 at New Garden Monthly Meeting in Bucks County, PA. They were Quakers. The family lived around the Falls of Deleware until some moved to Virginia around 1730.

Here's what I'm looking for: I need to find the father of John Mead, WILLIAM MEAD, of Cecil County, MD. I have very little info on him...a couple of mentions in marriage certificates and legal papers.

I think our Mead line has run out of ideas and I thought maybe those who are researching the Abrell and Abrahall lines might have something about the Meads that they found while doing their family's lineage.

Most of what I have there is unproven...theory if you will. I appreciate corrections and additional info I can add...but please don't be mean to me if I have it wrong. It's not Gospel, I have very little documentation.
