Surnames: Abram, Abrams, Abraham, Abrahams
I would be intersted to hear from anyone with information on the names Abram(s) and Abraham(s), in the UK and posibly Ireland.
My Abram ancestors come from the South of England and I would be very keen to hear from anyone else with ancestors from this part of the country. M research seems to indicate that the Abram family came from up North; Southport and Wigan (I believe there is a place called Abram in Wigan also), which strangely is the area my family live in now.
My father was born in Northamptonshire and his father Louis Bowers Abram was born in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (1916). Joseph Charles Abram was my great grandfather and he was born in Northampton and Charles Abram my great great grandfather was born in Rothwell, Northamptonshire. My great great grandfather was Joseph Abram but I have no details abour him at present.
