I do not have my info in front of me but my (now ex) husband is a Ferrante. His father and mother were both named Ferrante and their beginnings were in Lettomanopello. My ex father-in-law (now dead) was a young teen when he emigrated (I believe thru Ellis Island). My ex mother-in-law (Anne) was born in the US. I do not have my info right in front of me but I believe my mother-in-law's mother was an Addario (Corrina may have been her first name but, as I say, I would have to look it up). I actually have many copies of info on her (some in Italian so I can't read it). I would have to guess that my father in law would have been born about 1913. My mother-in-law born about 1923. Her parents would have been born probably 1890/1900. If anyone is interested in additional info I would gladly look it up.

I'm posting this message for Dino Addario, who lives in Pescara, Province of Pescara, Italy; his family is from Lettomanoppello, and he would very much like to locate the families of his great uncleswho emigrated to the US.

ROCCO ADDARIO, Dino's grandfather, born in 1886 in Lettomanoppello, Chieti (now Pescara), Italy was the son of Gaetano ADDARIO (b. 12/30/1855) and Rachele FERRANTE of Lettomanoppello; they were married in 1881.

Three of Rocco ADDARIO'S brothers emigrated to the US, and the family in Lettomanoppello lost contact with them. They were: Lindoro ADDARIO, b. 1881, emigrated to the US before 1900; Antonio ADDARIO, b. 1891, emigrated to the US in or about 1908; Giuseppe ADDARIO, b. 1894 emigrated to the US in or about 1912.

The above Giuseppe/Joseph ADDARIO, born March 18, 1894 in Lettomanoppello, emigrated to the US about 1912, and died as Joseph ADDARIO in Massachusetts in August, 1985. His last known residence was Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Dino would very much like to know if Giuseppe/Joseph Addario left any descendents here in the US, and whether Giuseppe/Joseph's brothers Lindoro and Antonio did.

Please leave a message if you know of this family!

Sara Addario

ADDARIO - LETTOMANOPPELLO

My husband's grandfather, Valentino ADDARIO, b. in Lettomanoppello, Chieti (now Pescara) Italy in 1883, was the son of Giuseppe ADDARIO and Maria DI PIETRANTONIO. He married Pasquarosa D'ALFONSO of Lu Lette, who was born in Lettomanoppello in 1884, the daughter of Nicolantonio D'ALFONSO and Maria DI BIASE. Valentino emigrated from Lettomanoppello to Cascade, NH, USA in 1910; Pasquarosa followed him in 1911. Valentino had a brother Camillo and a sister Giustina. Camillo ADDARIO remained in Lettomanoppello and married Celeste D'ALFONSO (Their daughter Filomena Addario married Donato DI MATTEO and emigrated to Toronto, Canada, as did their daughter Anna, who m. Bartolomeo Santangelo, and their son Luigi.) Giustina ADDARIO remained in Lettomanoppello and married Giovanni DI FRANCESCANTONIO; their son emigrated to the US in 1911 at age 17, but we do not know whether he remained here or returned to Italy.

I would like to hear from anyone connected with these families!

Sara Addario
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Trail/3860 - Benvenuto a Lettomanoppello e Roccamorice
