Hidalgo, Mexico

There's a lot of Angeles in Hidalgo, specifically in and nearby the little town of Molango. Some 15 miles from Pachuca (Hidalgo states capital city) theres a hamlet called Angeles; that is about 50 miles from Mexico City. It seems that General Felipe Angeles was born in Molango. My father's name is Jaime Angeles Delgado and his father, born in Hidalgo, was Sabino Angeles.
My parents live in Atlanta, Ga. and one of my brothers runs a several fresh produce companies under the umbrella name Angeles Enterprises. I live in Mexico City, where I work as a journalist and my eldest brother, Pedro Angeles Jiménez, is a historian and an expert on Mexican Colonial paintings.

I live in London, England but most of my mother's family lives in Binangonan, Rizal, Philippines.

Both my grandparents sadly passed away without me getting to meet them (my granddad died before I was born) but I would dearly love to learn more about the family. I just wanted to know if i had any distant relatives out there by this surname of Spanish origin as he was part Chineese part Spanish. I consider myself as filipino as i was born in the Philippines. My grandfather also lived there as a teacher. Anyone with some useful information? Just in it for some trivia and some fun.

1/2 Chinese 1/2 Filipino woman named Angeles

I am certain from family lore that Angeles's mother was pure Chinese and was born in China, but that's all I know about the Chinese connection.

We don't know the name of Angeles' dad, but he was Filipino and lived in the Philippines, perhaps on Ilo Ilo.

Angeles married Julio Morales before 1904, so the assumption is that she was born any time before 1890 (they married very young in the provinces). This means the Chinese woman who married the Filipino man would have been born in China before 1875 or so.

I know this is a long shot, but it's worth a try. Nancy42856@aol.com
