Andrew Ansaldo Jr., SODDY DAISY, Tenn.

SODDY DAISY, Tenn.-Andrew Ansaldo, Jr., 59, formerly of Concord, died
Tuesday in Soddy Daisy, Tenn. He was born in Concord, the son of Andrew
and Catherine (Slattery) Ansaldo. He attended St. John's High School, where
he was active in baseball, basketball and football. He earned a bachelor's
degree in business administration from Providence College in 1965. He was
inducted into the Bishop Brady Hall of Fame in 1995. Ansaldo lived in Soddy
Daisy, Tenn., for many years and summered at his family cottage on Lake
Winnisquam. He worked as plant manager in the textile business, recently for
Hunt Nissan in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was an active participant in the
Sprague Electric Community Shows. He loved to golf and bowl. Survivors
include his wife, Linea (Anderson) Ansaldo; a son, Joseph Ansaldo of
LaGrange, Ga.; a daughter, Leslie Ansaldo of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Patricia
Kallen of Putnam, Conn.; a grandson; and an aunt, uncle, nephews and
cousins. Calling hours will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral
Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated
tomorrow at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 S. Main St.,
Concord. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Concord. Memorial
donations may be made to the Tommy Hardiman Scholarship Fund, c/o
Bishop Brady High School, 25 Columbus Ave., Concord 03301.
