Hello to all, We are looking for Baltimores' of Fluvanna and Albemarle Counties of Virginia. My husband's Grandmother was Gladys Baltimore married a Chester Hill. She had one brother Sterling Edward Hill who was killed in WWII and no other sibling survived early childhood. Both she and her brother were orphaned at a young age and they were separated to different parts of their families for their childhood and teens. Gladys attended the Miller school in Charlottesville, VA and then we think after graduating she went to Washington DC for work, where she met and married.
We have hit a true dead end and are looking for help. We have traveled to the Charlottesville and Crozet, Miller school, and even an area called Buck Island [Buckeye Land] in Albemarle County. Thank you all, Jan Hill mimhill54@yahoo.com

Dear Jan,
The Baltimore's continue to amaze me after 20 plus years of research. The surname of Baltimore has a very long and interesting history in the US. My research focuses on Baltimore's of African ancestry so, if you can let me know if your family is of African or European ancestry this will help me to search Gladys Baltimore.

Do you have any indication of an African-American Baltimore marrying a Jackson? I am trying to help someone track down her grandfather's family, surname Jackson, middle name Baltimore. Interested in starting from the back and going frontwards, and the normal front to back has too many dead ends, most due to the burning of the 1890 census. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I have several Baltimore's from Fluvanna & Albemarle County in my family tree. I also have a Gladys Baltimore, though I'm not sure if it's the same person you mentioned.

Good Afternoon,

The Baltimore family that you are researching are they African American? I have been posting and researching the Baltimore's for over 25 years and took a little rest after the passing of a few close family members. Please let me know if I can help you in your research.

Renee
