I've recently started researching my Battersby ancestors and would love to connect with others to share stories or information. I have a subscription to Ancestry.com and that is a big help. My grandfather was Timothy Battersby Lloyd (born in Chesapeak City, MD in 1912), whose mother was Katie Battersby. Katie was one of 8 children: Albert W, Ella, Robert G, James, Sarah Ann, George, Mary Jane and Katie. Her parents were: Robert R. Battersby born in England in 1843 and Sarah Catherine Montgomery born in Delaware I have found out that. Sarah Catherine's parents were William W. Montgomery, born n PA, her mother was Margaret born in Delaware. Haven't figured out who Margaret's parents were just yet. Robert R. Battersby father was Richard, presumably of England.
