I have worked on the Blow line for a long time, but not recently -- where did you get your info??

My grandmother did an amazing job when she was alive and took it from there. Most of my research was confirming what she found through the genealogy library in Houston and then I found a lot on line in various places.

I think my biggest question is the Robert Blow you listed as born 1815 that married Susan McClanahan -- where did they marry and live? If it was NY, I don't think, but am not positive, that Robert Blow is the same as the Robert Blow that was son of Henry Blow.

I don't have this in software so am going to have to refer to notes on it :
Richard Blow that died 1762 In Sussex Co was married to Elizabeth -- some say Ruffin, I have not found the proof on that. Their children were Samuel, Henry, John, Mary,
Ann, Jane, Rebecca and Michael and Richard.

Richard was married to Ann Thomas who married Henry Vaughan as her 2nd husband. They had John Thomas, Richard and
Martha.

John Thomas and Mary Briggs Blow had Richard, William,
George, Mary Briggs,John Thomas Jr. and Henry.

Henry's wife was Mary -- I don't know about Drew - I have not been able to find her maiden name. They had
Robert, James, Henry, Samuel and Margaret.

Henry died ca 1832 or so (this is my line)Samuel died young,
Margaret married and died young, James and Robert I'm not sure of. I think (off top of head)the last I had found was Robert in 1834.

Robert was born ca 1810 as his guardianship ended in 1831 at age 21. His brother Henry who died ca 1832 married a Darden, I don't know her first name, but she was dau of Jethro Darden of Hertford co NC. Henry and ? Darden had one son, James Gray Blow, who moved to Mississippi. I have documention on all of this except the Ruffin name. I have spent about 16 years, on & off on it -- it's one of my favorite lines to work on.

As far as the Drew name goes, some of the Blows did marry Drews, but that was in the Michael Blow line.

Hello Sherry, Robert and Susan Ann McClanahn Walke were married 4-13-1833 in Norfolk Co. VA. That Robert Blow is the son of Henry. Robert died in either Brooklyn NY or NY City in 1892. Henry was born in 1771 and died 1-16-1815. Susan was born in 1817 in Lower Norfolk VA. and died in Nov of 1897 or 1892 in San Francisco. I have two papers that show different years of death but I believe the correct one is 1897. Her father was Edwin Walke son of John. My notes show that the Walke line goes back to Pocohontas.

I also show the name Elizabeth Ruffin married to Richard Blow Sr. I don’t show the children named John, Jane, Mary, Ann or Rebecca so that is interesting. Between the kids you show and the ones I show that makes 10. Must have been some cold winters.

I show that Samuel, born 1710, married Martha Drew in 1727.
I also show Richard born to Richard Jr. and Ann Gray Blunt to have married another Martha Drew but no date.
Michael Blow, also Richard and Ann’s son, married Pricilla Drew but also no date.
Henry Blow, son of John Thomas Blow and Mary Briggs, did marry Mary Drew in 1768.

I think you're getting your lines mixed up -- Richard Jr. and Ann Gray Blunt did not have a child named Richard.
They did not have a child named Michael. Priscilla Drew did marry Michael Blow, but he was not son of Richard Jr.
and Ann Gray Blunt.

The Blows did tend to name their kids the same, there's lot of Henrys, Johns, etc. Unless you've done your homework on this -- looking at wills, probate accts., censuses, you're going to get mixed up on it. I have 3 Henry Blows in Southampton Co in 1840's -- all about the same age -- but all different. It makes it tough to separate them, but with
enough actual research it can be done.
