New to the board, and will be searching its history.
Meanwhile, has anyone here already joined the Jamestowne Society through:
.
Bridger, Joseph (1628-1686) … listed in Jamestowne Society
m: Hester Pitt (1628-ukn)
|dau
Martha Bridger (1660-ukn)
m: Godwin, Thomas Jr. (1642-1714) … father, Col. Thomas Godwin, also listed in Jamestowne Society
.
My line runs through Martha Bridger & Thomas Godwin.
Thank’s in advance.

I'm also decended from Joseph Bridger and curious about the Jamestowne Society... and even MORE curious because you're descended from the Bridger family -and- your name is DuPriest. My gggrandmother was Mary Pocohontas DuPriest, b.1872 in Kentucky. I've been trying to find more information about her - have you seen her in your research?

I am also descended from Joseph Bridger(1628-1686)AND Dr. John Woodson (b. 1586), both listed in the Jamestowne Society. I have sent TWO letters (because I could not find an email address) to the Society address in Florida and I have received NO reply. So I'm assuming they are not accepting new members. It's very frustrating. I also sent inquiries to the First Families of America regarding John Woodson, who is also listed as an ancestor on their website, and again I have received NO reply to my inquiries.
