Hoping that someone might have a clue to my roadblock. I'm looking for the parents to my Thomas Kenney.
I found him in the 1870 census Washington Co. Iowa with his mother Eliza (born 1828 Ireland)and his Step-father Alex P. Calwell. But that is as far back as I've been able to go.
He dies before the 1880 census leaving my 2nd Great Grandmother Martha Jane Chance Kinney with 3 children Olley age 6, Jennett age 5 and my Great Grandfather Benjamin age 6 months. She's then living with her parents in Delhi, Osborne, Kansas.
