I am searching for the genealogy of William Mardell Carroll who was from MD but came to IL and married my aunt. We believe that he is a descendant of the Carroll who singned The Declaration of Independence. Does anybody have the line of the Carroll who sighned it.

I have a William M. Carroll b. 1812 d. 1881 m. Catherine Kester they lived in WV . they had a son William b.1846 m.Ella Lee Barker and they had a son William b. 1885 who married Floy Shanks

I am working on the line of William Carroll b 1812 married to Ella L. Barker. They lived in Pleasants County, WV.

Do you know William's parents?
