According to the 1930 census:
Daniel H. Carroll of P. and his wife Grace; their children Anita (married MULLEN) was born abt. 1918
Mildrred (married SACHSE) was born abt. 1920
Lucille (married Perkinson) was born abt. 1924
Douglas Carroll was born abt. 1917
Elizabeth (married BREDEKAMP) was not on the census so she could have moved out of the home or was born after the 1930 census.

I did find an SSDI listing for a Elizabeth C. BREDEKAMP born 1901 and died 2002 in Middle River, Maryland but not sure if this is the same person. Also found on SSDI a Lucille PERKINSON born 1924 and died 2003 in Nottingham, Baltimore, Maryland.

Henry C. CARROLL was the son of Daniel Carroll and Helen DOWLING Carroll, no dates but most likely around the 1880's. He married Hollis GROVE, no other info known. Their children were Elizabeth Ann who married a BOWERS and Caroline who married a SAMEK. No other info known on them but maybe the 1940's.

Most of this I am just finding today so any information would be a great help.

1884: Mary Cahill Carroll died “at her home in Cincinnati, on Egilston (sic) Avenue, October 22nd, at 6:25 a.m., Mary, wife of Thomas Carroll and sister to Esq. John Cahill. She was born at Cherlessforth, County Wexford, Ireland, August 9th, 1828.

I saw Carroll and Cincinnati and sent this - just in case.

Looking for relatives of Nicholas Carroll b 1861?, that owned a tannery in Stockton, CA around 1920's. He wrote letters to his brother Martin Carroll b. 1871? in New Jersey. He lived with his sister Maria (Carroll)Wilkinson b. 1850 in 1880 census. Any one that can help with this, information would be greatly appreciated. Kristine

It may be easier soon to find the lists of names of poor children who were rounded up on the streets of England and Ireland and sent to North America and Australia. Prime Minister Gordon Brown will soon make a formal apology for this practice in the past. I think many of our CARROLL immigrants came to the colonies in this manner. Isn't it interesting now to realize that was the best thing for these children?

In addition to the orphans and poor children who were exported by the English, they also emptied their prisons. Again, I think it proved to be a good thing.

Maybe along with the apology, the English government will publish lists of those transported.

Esq. John Cahill was my gggrandfather. I tried to find a
full obit in the Cincinnati papers, but the year 1884 was missing. Frustrating. If anyone has any info on Thomas and Mary Cahill, please post it. Thanks.

There were still Carrolls in Franklin, NH at least through the 1960's. There was a David Carroll, known as Chick, who had two sons. The sons were born around the late 1940's.

Seeking any information on the family of John and Mary A. Carroll of Clarke Co., VA. In the 1900 census they were listed with five children, Lewis, Edwin, Claude, Arthur and Grover. Lewis, Edwin, Claude and Arthur were in Teton Co., Montana in 1917 and 1918 where they registered for the draft. Edwin was in Pondera Co., Montana in 1920 with three children and his mother Amelia, age 58, widow.

Arthur F. Carroll, died in San Antonio, TX in 1943

Searching for any information on Arthur F. Carroll. He is buried in San Antonio with out a birth date. He died on 22 Jan 1943. One reference indicates he was a veteran of WW1.
His death certificate lists his parents as unknown and place of birth unknown.
This man appears to have starved to death after being run over by a hit and run driver.
I would like to identify his family to add to his memorial record.

My gg grandfather John Carroll from County Tipperary emigrated in the early 1800's and among the family papers there were three letters. One from John's brother Martin Carroll dated: Nov 3,1845 from Boston--and a second one from New York dated May 1853. I would be more than wlling to send you copies.
