Hi Marcas, this may be relevant or not, I understand that the Anglicised version of McPartland is BARTLEY.
If this is so I have what may be relevant info:
Catherine BARTLEY b abt 1800 Ire (Sligo or Mayo) the Brit census records never give townlands parishes etc.
She married Patrick O'Hara b abt 1798 again Sligo/Mayo the family migrated to Bradford, Yorkshire abt 1832 and continued to raise family now 6 generations so there are several thousand O'Hara's in the family tree.
During the 1830's there were only 9 Irish families living in Bradford, all in the same (slum) area, mostly the womenfolk were involved in wool combing, spinning etc, the men as agricultural lab's, builders, or hawkers.
Common mames at the time were Madden, Conlon, Kilbride, Gallagher, McNulty, Sweeney, Murphy, Conroy. Later during the 1860's and on the Irish population increased dramatically, availablity of work, industrial revolution etc, other Names: McGuinn, Mullaney, Battle, Keogh, Fallon, there was lots of intermarriage between the families.

This is just a quick outline, as I said, not sure if its relevant to your research but if there is a link I will be glad to hear from you.
Best wishes Chris O'Hara, Bradford Yorks

Hi there

A relation of mine Chris O'Hara died this week. His brother is trying to trace the person he was meeting from America in connection with family research. I noticed you have had some communication with Chris.

Please contact me if the person was yourself.

Regards Chris Verity
