My mother's maiden name was Connell. Her name was Lillie Inez Connell and she was born Jan 24, 1892 in Jefferson County, GA. and married my father, Albert Levin Roughton on Nov 16, 1911. Her father was Lewis Benjamin Connell, born Feb 12, 1853 also in Jefferson County, GA. His father's name was Jesse Connell, born in 1815. I think he was born in Jefferson County as well but not sure. Jesse's father was Thomas Connell, born in 1787 but do not know where.
