I am looking for information about my great great grandfather Domingos Da Silva. Domingos and another man reported to be his brother called Paulo deserted a whaling ship in New Zealand and eventually settled at Great Barrier Island.

According to his marriage certificate Domingo was born in Brazil and married Polly Mary Tobouch (formerly Botolver) in Auckland 1881. His father was Antonio Silva and his mother was Bernarda Maria Silva. When I did an LDS search it found Antonio De Silva married Bernarda Maria 18 May 1805 at Nossa Senhora Da Conceicao, Anciao, Leiria, Portugal but don't know how to check if this is the right people.

Paulo married Mary Victoria Brown in Auckland 1881 and had three children John Paul Silva, Theresa and Catherine (Kate) Silva.
