Pam, I have meant to write you an email, but just don't get it done. I have a very small and amateur web site. I don't have all the collateral lines on the site yet, and I only put what I am fairly certain of; have documentation that backs it up. I still think that James and Eliz. Jackson Doublin are the parents of my John Doublin in Graves Co KY, but did not add it, as no documentation. Look at my site and make any suggestions to me. www.geocities.com/carolynrudolph I plan on adding pictures soon. Anxious to hear from you. Carolyn

I have Cooks and Doublins all from NC, then to AL, MS and finally in early 1800's they came to Graves Co KY (Boydsville) There is a COOK Cem there and a Doublin Cem also. They were intermarried in several generations. I would like to share with you. There were Diterlines who intermarried the Cooks in that area also. I am related to all of them, and have not got them all straight though.

I too am doing research on the Doublin/Dublin tree but i have run up against some odd coincidences. Do you know of a Sandford Desota Doublin from around the Tenn, Ky, Georgia, Texas area, as apparently he traveled a great deal, possibly went by the name saint desota? Also am looking for a Thomas Butler Doublin and descendants, A Frank Doublin also their last name changed as William Doc Dublin Born William Randolf Doublin changed the name. He was born in Tennessee. They were possibly native american or AA mixed with white, to pass as native american and white. Any Doublins you might have may be on my family tree can you supply me with these names and their descendants that you might have and I can go over them and compare them with what i have> Thankyou Anna, you may fax them to me at 253 539-5901

Hi Yolanda, Well I'm actually looking into both as my ancestor's were from the south and we were always told we were only cherokee and irish, however due to recent blood problems i found out that i have a rare blood disorder only found in those of ethnic backgound either black or spanish mix, i have always been very dark complected but was told by my father that i needed to leave well enough alone. My ancestors came from Kentucky, Ireland, Canada, Louisianna, Tennessee, and south Dakota area. I have some infor on an Albert Doublin from W.Va, and migrating to Ky, from there i dont know much other than he was born Aug 22,1901 and died Dec 6 1967 married a lizzie ? I also found out that our name was changed from Doublin to Dublin during slavery freedom. But if you are from the south you know how hard it is to find info, it's almost as if things were destroyed on purpose. All info from county records were burned in fire in dresdon ky. you can email me at AngyG@aol.com i have alot more info that i can fax or share with you, Thankyou also albert's father's name was Thomas Butler Doublin and grandfather was either Bedford or Sandford Desota
