I'm still trying to find a James Dunlop b 1833 born in Coleraign lived in Shankhill was a whip maker married Margaret Morrison probably the daughter of Charles Morrison. and His father James Dunlop also a whip maker b c 1778.? married Susanna McNaght/Mcnaught they lived and are buried in Coleraign. One son John left and went to Indiana USA.

does anyone have any ideas about this family.

Hi also looking for a James Dunlop From trying to figure it out. I think he had a son named John Dunlop born in 1867 he was from the londonderry are and I heard something about the Scottish/Irish thing. John Dunlop came to us via Quebec Canada through Londonderry then something about living in illionos and then Michigan with either his son or grandson of my great grandfather Earl J. Dunlop. If this makes any sense or helps out in anyway Please contact me.

Sorry Bryan, I can't help you. Most of my Dunlop relatives born born and bred in Scotland, moving to England on 1860's.
