Looking for information on John William Eedy.
He married 3 times:
1st wife: Unknown, son Ivan Eedy
2nd wife: Mary Josephine Brown b. 1875, d. 1926 d/o Alexander William Brown and Ann Wilson
2 sons: Charles Fitzgerald Eedy and John Wilson Eedy.
Charles Fitzgerald Eedy m. Gertrude Olive Brown
I believe there is a missing link to the John and Nicholas Eedy line, but I haven't found it as of yet.
If anyone has information I would be so appreciative!

Hi Melissa,

did you track down your Eedy yet. I keep running into Eedy information while researching the Beamish and Jermyn of Toronto Gore twp, Peel Co, Ontario. They were all Anglican from Cork, and they settled in the Gore in 1830s which is where I find most of them, then around 1842 some moved to Biddulph twp, Middlesex, Ontario close to where the Jermyn families settled near Granton. A Ellen Jermyn married a Charles Eedy in the Gore, might be more links as well, but a Joseph Eedy married a Elizabeth Beamish and most of the Beamish went to Simcoe County and other near township, they spread out quite a bit after teh 1860s. So depending on where in Ontario your Eedy was from he could be descended from these families. The Toronto Gore township is quite close to Toronto and it served as a launching pad to many families. After they made some money and learned farming in Canada, they usually moved out to buy cheaper land in further township.
