WOW! my dads family is from Douglas Arizona. His father's Name was Ysidro Elzy, and his mothers name is Mary Elzy. His brothers: Ray Elzy, David Elzy. His name is Eddie Elzy. Im wondering if you might know them??

Hello, We are Mexican American Elzys also, however we spell it Elszy because my father, Guillermo Elszy, wasn't sure how to spell it when he took his father's name back-Carlos Elzy from Douglas, Arizona. Well, my grandfather Wash Elzy family is from Colfax,Lousiana & Alexandria,Lousiana. He had brother/step-brother name Herman Elzy who resided in Chicago.

My grandfather Levi Elzy, my great grandfather Robert Elzy, and my great great grandfather Levy Elzy were from Fayette, MS. Fayette, MS is not too far from the Louisiana border.

Elzay pictures

I recently purchased some pictures of "Elzay" family members at a antique store in the Louisville, KY area. Two are group pictures - one of which is labeled as "Elzay Reunion" (the other is not labeled, but has some of the same people as the other picture).
Another picture is labeled "Lillie Elzay" - it was taken by "The Clitter Studio, Ada, O." - so I am assuming Ohio.
The fourth picture is labeled "Margaret Markley Elzay and sister. It is was taken by "Triplett, Main St., Bluffton, O."

I have the original photos of these pictures. If someone is interested in these pictures, please contact me and I will email you a copy of them.

I am researching the Elzy family, to include all the various spellings. I would like to be able to identify the people in these pictures, so anyone interested in helping, let me know!

I have no children listed for her at this time, but my source showed her surname was Gilmore. I found information for another person by the name of Bessie that was mother to 3 girls and 2 boys (surname White). If this is your line let be know. I don't want to be too specific on this information since the people are still living and this is a public message board, but PLEASE email me directly so I can give you my phone number. I am going to be in the Louisville area next week for research on the ELZY family. Maybe we can meet somewhere and I can give you info. (AT a public place -- it will be me, my cousin, her mom and my mom)

Bessie Elzy she is the daughter of Joseph Clinton Elzy and Stella Snawder. Mamaw Bessie has 5 kids (3 girls and 2 boys) they are all living and they all live around here in leitchfield Ky the rest of our fmily lives in Sheperdsville and i think some in Louisville. I'm still working on more info.

Do you know who Jennie's parents were? We are going to KY/southern IN (Louisville area of IN & KY) in mid July for ELZY reseach (our third week-long ELZY research trip). I know I found some information on ELZY in McLean County, IL. In fact, I think I have a copy of a marriage certificate. I will have to look it up and find it. It is not our family (at least I have not found the connection), but I kept the copy just in case. As Alicia stated, we have done a lot of research and have a LOT of ELZYs in our file. After I find the marriage certificate, I will let you know. Are you in McLean County?

I have a gggrandmother whose name was Castella Elzy. I believe that she was from Kentucky. She married Nelson (Turley) Harris. Their daughter, Mary Harris, was my ggrandmother. They came to McLean County, Il. I haven't been able to find much information about Castella or her family. Would love to coorespond with anyone who has info.

I am an Elzy and have been researching Elzy history with my cousin for over 15 years. Our Elzys are from Kentucky but migrated to Illinois. ROBERT ELZY was born c 1840 in KY and is listed in the 1860 census in Moultrie County, IL. We believe his father is JAMES ELZY but have not been able to make the connection (despite many trips to Louisville). JAMES C ELZY is a son of ELZY ELZY and they both lived their lives in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. I would like to correspond with anyone who is related to these or ANY OTHER ELZY descendants because as someone else said, we are all related!!!

My grandfather's name was Levi and he had a brother by the name of Thomas they stayed in Chicago. Their father's name was Robert. Robert's father's name was Levy. Levy had six children in Fayette, Mississippi according to the 1870 census. I don't know if Levy had any siblings (this is the source of my brickwall).

My grandfather name is wash elzy and he had a brother name henry elzy that stayed in chicago. I think wash is from alexandria louisiana, not for sure. I don't know much about him.
