Rev. Inez Enriquez, 69, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 after a long, formidable battle with cancer. She was born April 6th, 1942 in Dixon, New Mexico, to the late Augustine Medina and Lena Romero Goodhart. She was raised by her father and late stepmother, Josie Medina, in Price, Utah. On December 13, 1958 she married the love of her life, the late Rev. Louis Enriquez.
Inez was a woman of great faith and a wonderful pastor's wife who served Mount Calvary Family Worship Center along with her beloved late husband. Their 50 years of ministry together touched and influenced thousands. She was a vital and integral part of their ministry and was a credentialed minister of the Assemblies of God. She was a part of the Central District Women's Ministry team and was a true servant of God. She was a warrior in prayer, a preacher of the word, a wise counselor, an incredible pianist, an outstanding cook, and an amazing mother and grandmother. Her strength was her faith and her faith was contagious. She provided loving encouragement to everyone she encountered.
Inez is survived by her three daughters, Debra (Robert) Rivera, Taylorsville, UT; Lydia (Lorence) Leon, Taylorsville, UT; Sherry Hackett, West Valley City, UT; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Paul) Bonella; JaNae Palmer; Michael (Teresa) Rivera; Jeffrey (Alissa) Rivera; Jonathan (Brittani) Leon; Tami (Zach) Smith; Nicholas Lozano; Cameron Hackett; 11 great-grandchildren; four siblings: Irene (Harold) Eiland, Green Cove Springs, FL; Della (Ernie) Wiley, Greenville, SC; Rozella (Toby) Salazar, South Jordan, UT; Pauline (Robert) Colunga, East Carbon, UT. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Tamara Enriquez.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Family Worship Center, Sunday, March 11, 2012, and the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2012, also at Mount Calvary Family Worship Center, 3050 South 3200 West in West Valley City. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park.
