Greetings from Arizona! I'm not sure how we are related, but have recently started filling in the family tree with info from the Hart tree. I am the daughter of Rankin Fern Falls (May 3 1900 to August 3 1976), son of William Falls and Harriet Rankin of Carp. I would love to get together and compare notes. I have some information from my father, not much as he was notoriously closed-mouthed, and other bits from his sisters (all now deceased), but am willing to share all and see if we can fill in the gaps together.

Robert FALLS Australia

I am trying to trace the family of Robert FALLS who was a solicitor in Sydney, Australia in 1850-1860s. He died in 1864 aged 50 years. His wife, Margaret FALLS (b 1824) nee WRIGHT died in 1860. She was the daughter of Thomas WRIGHT of London, Upholsterer. In 1841 she was living with her parents, Thomas & Sarah in London but disappears after that. No record of a marriage in England or Australia.

Would like to hear from anyone researching this family. Margaret had sisters, Emily, b 1834 and Mary, b 1822 and brothers Thomas, b 1818 & William b 1820. Both William and Thomas migrated to Australia but William returned to England before 1861 when he was living with his widowed mother. William was a widower.

I had heard Falls was Irish. My grandfather lived in Fulton, KY, and was named Winifred Falls. He had two sons that lived, my father and my uncle, both deceased. Edward H. Falls, and David T. Falls.

I was suprised to see Falls was an Indian name. We do not know the Falls side of our family, I guess we never really thought about where the name came from. I do not know of any other Falls in our community and I think there is very few in Alabama. I would also love to know more about the Falls family and where the name came from. If you get any more info please contact me.

Seeking information for Elizabeth Falls. Birth, death, and who her parents are.

What I know: She had a son John Johnston McMackin born in 1810. In the Minutes of Court and Pleas & Quarter Sessions, page 327: April 25, 1809 Falls, Elizabeth. The State vs. Thomas McMacken Jr. begetting a bastard child on body of Elizabeth Falls. Defendant bound in sum of $200.

How's it goin? I live in the county down. All us fallsies seem to originate in Tyrone. I have a family tree which goes back to a david falls and an abigail webb. they had 2 sons Patrick and Francis (1780-1855). Francis married an Isabella Connelly (1787-1861), that's where my line comes from. My grandfathers' generaton were all from an area called washing bay in tyrone.

I just now found your inquiry and may have some info for you.
Henry Kocke was my great grandfather. Margeret Fals (my great grandmother) and Henry both died in Donaldsonville, Louiisiana. Margeret died in either 1951 0r 1952 (I was born in 1951 and have a photo of her holding me)and Henry died a few years earlier.
I'm new at this family history stuff and hope this helps you some.

Hi, I am trying to do the research on the Crosby family from Mississippi. Mainly I am looking for either Rachel or Mariah Crosby who were supposed to have married a Jessie Falls. I'm not sure which one married him. The Crosby girls were of a mix of black, white and indian. They may have had blue eyes.

There is a James Falls, in Lower Canada, Return of Clergy Reserves sold from 1827 to 1838 showing the prices at which they were obtained at the extent of the lots bought by each purchaser. National Library of Canada: Irish University Press Series of British Parlaimentary Papers. Correspondence relative to the Affairs of Upper & Lower Canada 1840. Colonies Canada 13.

I don't know if this is your James but I would guess. I also have a James Falls but this Falls family is from Carleton Co, originally from Tyrone Ireland. They are Protestant

My GGG Grandfather was Joseph Stitt born 1823 Tyrone Ireland
He imigrated to Vittoria (Simcoe On. Southeast of Hamilton) about 1845. His Father was John Stitt and his mother was Ann Stitt (nee Wilson). I have no details on John and Ann.

I am an American History collector and dealer and currently own an original muster in roll for the NC 55th, Co. C which contains the nearly 100 names including members of the Falls family.
Dickson Falls was the Captain. He was born in Lincoln County, NC and was a 29 year old farmer when he enlisted. he resigned on 11/22/1862.
The most exciting name on the list is thomas Dickson Falls who was also born in Lincoln County, NC. He was a 19 year old clerk when he enlisted as a sergeant. He was wounded at Gettysburg and taken POW and confined at Ft. Delaware and Johnson's Island, OH. He had been promoted to 3rd Lieutenant on 3/12/1863. He is very famous for being one of the three soldiers "farthest at Gettysburg" which was considered the high water mark of the Confederacy.

The records of the LDS family search website list the parents of Jefferson Davis Falls(1861-1950) as James B Falls and Mary Dixon. I have not verified this information, only what is posted there. My connection is through the CONDRON line. Jefferson Davis Falls married Anna CONDRON (1869-1952), daughter of William Harvey Condron and Sarah Owens. Jefferson Falls and Anna Condron Falls are buried in Throckmorton Cemetery, Throckmorton, TX.

According to the 1900 Census, she was b around 1865:
