I have a James Ferguson, born abt 1606 on Kittery, York, ME. He had at least one son, John, born abt 1630 in Stratford, CT. It is conceivable that James had another son (his namesake as would have been common) in that time frame. John Ferguson moved to Westchester, NY, married Sarah Hunt whose father & mother were born in England. John's line (for a good part) moved up around Albany and, then as Empire Loyalists, came to Canada around 1785 - 1795. If I can be of any help, contact me at rosenorm1@gmail.com
