Dear Mary:
I also have a Fitzgerald in my maternal line from County Tyrone. My great great grandfather was Patrick Fitzgerald. He married a Mary Esther Griffin from Limerick. I only know that my Fitzgeralds were from Tyrone as Patrick had listed it on the 1881 British Census. The family was living in Bolton Lancashire at the time of the census. Patrick was listed as 51 years old making his birth year around 1830. Patrick was a provisions dealer and the family also lived in Wigan and had a grocery store at 101 Wallgate.
