Surnames: Foley, Evans, Griffin, Connor, O'Brien, Dowd, Shea, Garvey, Prendergast
Attempting to help a distant cousin in Co. Kerry find the burial place of her great-grandfather Timothy Foley in either Springfield, or Chicopee, MA, or elsewhere and the burial place of his son Timothy Foley, her great-uncle. If anyone has any info, please let me know. Appreciate any tid-bit, as Timothy's descendants in Co. Kerry would love to know where he and his son are buried. Thanks, Mary tmlein@insightbb.com

Kerry, Ireland, baptized Catholic in Keel, sponsors- John & Mary Foley, Tim emigrated to Springfield & died before he could bring his family out, father listed as Tim a farmer of Shanahill deceased by 1884, poss. son of Tim Foley & Mary Evans,, and died Aft. 1893 in Springfield, MA, buried ?, mar. 23 Feb. 1884, Kate Griffin, did he die after 1921 as she is listed as married in Old Keel Burial register, is he the Tim Foley who in 1900 was a boarder in home of George Evans on Congress St., Springfield, MA he mar., emig.1892. He married Catherine "Kate" Griffin 23 February 1884 in Keel Church, daughter of Michael Griffin and Gobnet Foley. She was born Bet. 1860 - 1865 in prob. Gortaneden, Keel, Castlemaine, Co. Kerry, Ireland, lived in house #24 in Shanahill in 1901, renting from Jer Tigeen Foley lived Shanahill West in 1911 #25, age 51, farmer, married 27 years, 5 children, 3 living in 1911, d!
aughter of Michael Griffin and Deborah Foley, and died 25 March 1921 in Shaniahill, married wife of labourer, buried Old Keel Cem. 26 March 1921 Reg I #80, she died on Good Friday, her husband Tim Foley died in MA.

Timothy "Tim" Foley, born 01 March 1887 in Shanachill, lived Shanahill West in 1901 age 14, house # 24, he may have died in 1932 as a letter from an attorney in Springfield, MA was addressed to his sister Abbe/Debora Foley O'Brien in Keel Parish,his estate closed 1 Oct. 1932, entered US Army, Newcastle, PA, discharged 26 Aug. 1919, New York Separation; died Bef. 01 August 1932 in ?, buried poss. Springfield, or Chicopee, MA Timothy left Ireland & joined US Army 25 July 1918, stationed 1st Battalion, 118 Engineers, Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, Indianapolis. Served in WW I, posted to France in Oct. 1918, / a letter to his sister Debora in Co. Kerry. Tim had previously mentioned in an earlier letter to his sister in Shanahill, Co. Kerry that while in the U.S. Army that if anything happened to him he would leave his estate to his sister Abbe. His attorney was Thomas P. Shea and Arthur T.
