I am searching for information about my great-grandfather, Levy Washington Freeman, born in Polk Co., GA. He fought in the Civil War in Company "F", 59th Alabama Regiment. In 1872 he married a Mary Francis -----, who was born in Heard Co. in 1855. They had a son, Lacy Leonard Freeman and a daughter, Vera Freeman. The family migrated to Bell Co. TX in 1991. He died in Bell Co. TX in 1902. I do not know when he was born, who his parents were, and his wife's maiden name. If anyone has any information about this family, I would appreciate hearing from you.
