Hope you have a great trip to Pulborough, Sussex, where Edmund (b1590) was born. We went there in 2000 and stayed at the Chequers Inn. The people at the library were most helpful. They told us (1) that the church St. Mary (Old Rectory Lane) where Edmund is supposed to be buried ... (we couldn't find his gravestone as many of them were very weathered and illegible) was locked because of vandalism but things may have change by now and (2)there is one Freeman in the telephone book, and I believe he is an undertaker.
We were unable to reach him. Hope you get to go out to Pulborough (it's a lovely ride on the train). (My ancestry goes directly back to Edmund, Samuel Freeman (from Blackfriars, London) and William Brewster (Scrooby, Nottingham, England. (Please let me know how things go) Barbara Freeman Diaz
