Hi, I am looking for info on the Glennan family of Wheeo, I have names Thomas married to Mary Clancy. My Ancestor was John Joseph Jolliffe. John's father died 1854 and his mother Ann died 1859, John Joseph and his sister Ann were left orphans. They were taken and looked after by the Glennon family of Wheeo. Does anyone have any information about this, I have only family say so and would love any info anyone has...Thanks

Elusive Glennans (Glennons?)

Our story starts with Joseph Glennan in Gibbonsville, Lemhi County, Idaho. On March 04,1914 Joseph killed his wife Christina Sorenson and then killed himself. Their children were:

JOSEPH, b. 1890, died in Nevada City, CA. He married a woman named Ethel. Their children were adopted and they were: Irene (married a Whiteing), Henrietta, 3 more girls, one boy.
PATRICK (PADDY), b 1892. 1st wife was Blanche Buster. Their child was Elizabeth (called her "Kewpie"). 2nd wife was Marie Linden, 3rd wife was Moselle Kole.
FRANK, b. 1894, d. 1946 in Nevada City, CA. Wife was Alice Elliott. Their children were Belva, Fern, Thersa Joy, Glen, Cleo (Cleo is my father).
CHRISTINA, b. 1897, died 1898 in Gibbonsville, ID
CHRISTINA, b. 1899 (one year after 1st Chrisitina died) Married Milton Taylor in 1919.
JAMES, b. 1901, d. 1925 in Butte, MT. Married Georgia Hebert in 1921. They had a daughter, Ethel.
JOHN, b. 1904, d. 1947 in Sacramento, CA. Married a woman named Helen. No children of their own, but raised Ethel, James' daughter after James died.

We don't have any information about where Joseph and Christina came from or their ancestors because the horror of the murder~suicide was kept a family secret until recently. We don't have any more information about their descendants. The siblings seemed to have drifted apart.

Please contact me if you can cross reference any of these names or information. Thanks! daveandjocooper@attbi.com
