Researching a Judge Joseph Davis

Hello. I'm trying to research a Judge Joseph Davis.
He and 3 other Davises came back to Montana from the
Yukon in 1902. 2 of the other Davises were, J.L. Davis
and W.T. Davis. Trying to find out if there was any relation
between Judge Davis, and J.L. Davis or W.T. Davis.
I have been trying to find my father's family for over 6 years.
He was killed in an auto accident in 1929. I was 4 years
old at the time.
I will apperciate any help I can get.

Samuel Going B:Abt 1777 - Amherst / Nelson Co. VA

I am looking for information on Samuel Gowen/Going/Goin. Most important is his parents's information. He married twice and there is some confustion as to which wife had which children. Wife's maiden names are unknown. Childrens names are as follows:

Charles E. B: Aug 1826
Paulus R. B: Nov. 1828 Amherst Co.
Oliver B: Abt. 1831
Edwin B: Abt. 1832
Philip W. B: Abt. 1829
Nathaniel B: Abt. 1835
Sophia B: Abt. 1825

These are the children I have verified by Census. There are most likely a number of additional children. I am related thru Nathaniel who settled in Nelson Co. VA married Phoebe Tyree (who is probably also from Amherst Co orgininally, her parents were Jesse E. TYREE and May W. VIA). All Nathaniel & Phoebe's children were born in Nelson Co. VA they are as follows:

Albert W. B: Abt. 1867
Robert W. B: Abt. 1860
Mary L. B: Abt. 1866
Laura E. B:Abt. 1868
Milie A. B: Abt. 1870

I am looking for inforamtion about the following Goen/ Goin/ Goins relatives. John Goen (according to census, tombstone says Goins, but do not have a copy of that info) born about 1854 in VA. His wife Mary born abt 1856 in NC, daughters Elizabeth (Bessie), Annie, and son Eli born 7/28/1878 in Surry Co NC died 11/22/1961 in Caldwell CO NC. Sister Annie married a Smith and was still living in Mt Airy NC in 1961.

they are form GA somewhere. OLON moved to St. Louis and married my grandmother Lucille Eileen Brown and had 4 kids, Imogene (Imy), Gale Bevey Going, Edith, and my mom Della. Della said she thinks she was named after some one in the family, but not sur if from Olon's side or Lucille's side.

Researching Lucinda Going

Hi. I'm trying to research Lucinda Going, born in Georgia
in 1807, married Nowell Kendrick in 1826 in Georgia.
She was my gggrand mother. We were told she was
Cherokee Indian. Haven't been able to confirm that,
and would like to do that.

Calhoun County, MS: John B. Going, wife Rhonda Steele

Am looking for more information on John Bird Going and family.
Not my direct line, but his wife, Rhonda Steele would have been a cousin to my direct ancestor.
From census, I know they lived in Calhoun County, MS and had 4 children - 3 possibly living to adulthood.
Rhonda Steele Going (1876-1950) was buried in Ballenger Cemetery (Rocky Branch Baptist Church) with other Steeles in her line. (Dau of Isaac C. Steele and Nancy Provine.)

According to census, he was an editor and then publisher of a newspaper. (Name not given.)
SSDI shows he died in Oct of 1968.
Family information shows he is buried in Calhoun City Cemetery.
Children were Edward D.,another son, and two daughters. The names are difficult to read in the census data.
In the SSDI, there was an Edward Going who died in 1983 in Calhoun.

I am searching for information regarding my great grandmother. Emma Goings is listed on the Final Dawes final rolls card 1440 also listed is a Henry Goings on the same card. They were Choctaw Indians. I am not sure if they are from Ok. or not, but by Grandmother, Emmas' daughter was born in Ga. and most of her brothers and sisters settled in the Tampa Fla. area. Thomas married a Mary garvin in 1889 in Christchurch, new Zealand. They had four daughters, Anna, Margaret, Catherine and Lilly.

I have an original Lutheran Church confirmation photo taken about 1940, which I would like to get back to family members of someone pictured. One of those pictured is the pastor of the church, "Rev. Cleduis" Going - I have found him to be Rev. Louis I. Going. Photo was taken in Shawano, WI, and shows five mid-teens with their pastor. Rev. Louis I. Going was born about 1905-1906.

In search of information regarding James Richard Going who married Frances Didema/ Didemmie Brown. THey were either from Georgia or Virginia. Their children are from Georgia. They were James Richard Going Jr. born 1877, married Ethel Mashburn, Arrie Going who married John Hughes, Simmie Going who married Will Hayes, Imma Going who married a Wilson, Ida Going who was married to a Happy Harris, don't know his first name just his nickname, I think Happy was a second husband. and J.E. Going. Family members tell me that J.E. Going died in Florida along with Ida Going and James Richard Going. James Richard Going was married twice his first wife I believe was named Elizabeth and they had two children. Pearl and May. Ethel Mashburn was his second wife. I found a listing for Arrie at the Family Search. She is listed as being born Feb 27, 1875 in Berrien Georgia and died September 26 1940. Her husband is listed as John Thomas Hughes born Aug 6 1876 in Alexanderville, Echols Georgia. Arrie and John were married Oct 22 1896 in Alexanderville, Echols Georgia. There are two children listed, a Clyude Virginia Hughes and John Lambert Hughes.

Looking for parents of Jency (Jenny, Jincy, or maybe Virginia) Going (Tate). Born about 1818 perhaps in or around Albemarle, County, VA. Married Noah Tate in 1832. Shadrick Going signed bond/license. She was African American, as well as, indian according to oral history.

Searching for information on William "Billy" Goin or other spellings that is listed on the 1790 Moore County, North Carolina Census. A William Giong/Goen is listed as ancestor of James Mayhew on a "rejected" Cherokee application file from 1890.

James S. Mayhew was born November 27, 1833 in Clinton County, Illinois to Daniel and Elizabeth (Curtis) Mayhew. Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry and Mary (Goin/Goen) Curtis. Mary was the daughter of William "Billy" and Betsey Going/Goen.

Any information on William "Billy" Goin/Goen or other spellings born circa 1750 in North Carolina would be appreciated.

My grandpas name is Olon Going and I think he is from Georgia. He was born in 1915. He has/had many brothers and sisters. Lonny, and Hanna are the only names I can remember.
